transcriptional regulation of soybean SMT2 genes is influenced by environmental conditions to some extent: analysis of transcript abundance by qRT-PCR reveals that both the genes SMT2-1 and SMT2-2 are down-regulated after dehydration and markedly induced under cold conditions.
